Lajcik (April 5, 2021)

 Good week. We had zone conference on tuesday and that was very uplifting and edifying and then conference this weekend was super good. We got to stay up and watch the sessions both days and the second session started at 10 so we got to stay up till midnight and then sleep in til 8 the next day! Other than that a pretty normal week. We saw this wierd bridge pipe thing which was interesting so that is in the picture below. There are some crazy people here and there is this one kind of crazy guy that calls us sometimes and loves to talk hahha. Although he is super super nice. we will say something and he will just go off about how he loves everyone especially Jews and that he has friends in germany poland america spain and a bunch of other places. He loves to read the book of mormon and he always says he loves the Book of Mormon a lot too. It is hard to understand him and when we ask him to repeat something and that we are sorry we don't speak very well in the language he will always in polish "no you speak lovely" and then go off about all the nations he loves haha.   Sorry these are usually kinda boring haha

  We had a good week out here. Wroclaw is one of the coolest cities. Every day we see something new I feel, its really cool. Live on a college campus so theres a lot of young people around. Outside the chapel/office building there are a ton of kids skateboarding its pretty cool. there are gnomes everywhere i will attach some pictures of the ones of seen lately.  There are bridges everywhere in the city too so we have seen a couple of those.  One scripture that I really liked this week was John 15:13 and it says Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. and I love this scripture because Jesus laid down his life for all of us and this love is the greatest love someone could give.

Week 1 in Scappoose

  First week in the field under the belt! We arrived Tuesday morning and just hung out all day meeting all the other new missionaries. All 24 Elders stayed at a members house superr nice all decked out they had the inside basketball arcade game like it was straight outta the arcade. Next day we were sent out to our areas. I was assigned to Scappoose, Oregon smaller town but very cool everybody seems to congregate at the Fred Meyer in town so we walk around the store trying to talk to people. Me and my companion live in an apartment next to a park with another set of Elders they are super cool my companion is Elder Stanley from Idaho falls and the other Elders are Elder Kopf  from Texas and Elder Peterson from Syracuse Utah. We are just trying to meet the members and meet new people so we just walk and talk. Quarantine with the Queen

  We are here in England in quarantine. We are stuck in this mtc room with 6 other elders and we get to leave to go to the bathroom and outside for 30 min twice so its kinda tuff but we play pickleball in the room and we made a card deck or flash cards so that aint bad. We should be in Poland in a couple of weeks hopefully. This is going to be a really short email but I know I am very blessed to be in the position I am right now and I am very grateful for that. And I am super grateful for the time I had in Scappoose and my trainer Elder Stanley and the rest of the apartment Elder Kopf and Elder Peterson and the rest of the scappellens district.
